Description

The role involves covering holidays and specific production requirements. A minimum of 2 weeks’ notice will be given for the shift requirements. Further details will be discussed at interview.

Average 39 hours per week. 12-hour shifts, rotating over days & nights. 06.00am - 18.00pm & 18.00pm - 06.00am, includes a 30-minute paid break. Working 3 on for 3 weeks & 4 on for 1 week (The 4x12 shift will include covering Saturday & Sunday)

£38,515 per annum

Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust and operate binder machinery
  • Run to specifications of Job bag & keep up to schedule.
  • Ensure quality of finished product
  • Maintain regular maintenance of the machine
  • Monitor machine performance
  • Troubleshoot mechanical or quality issues and make necessary machine adjustments & liase with Operations Manager.
  • Conduct quality checks, including trimming, spine alignment, and page counts.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness, lubrication, and perform basic preventative maintenance.
  • Follow all safety standards and company policies.

Job Requirements

Previous experience operating all or some of the following:

  • Corona Perfect Binder
  • Cover feeder
  • Gatherer, Zenith Trimmer
  • Onyx inserter line and Cohiba palletiser
  • Muller Martini (Stitching machines 300, 335 lines or similar)
  • A mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent communication
  • Organised and self-motivated
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and meet tight deadlines efficiently.
  • Good attention to detail and quality control
  • Able to work both independently and part of a team
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance
  • Comfortable working rotating shifts and flexible around production demands
  • Adhere to all Health &, Safety, Environmental & Company policies, and procedures.
